Fu-Wi Boilers

Fu-wi wood pellet boilers: 15kW, 22kW and 30kW Fu-wi has been manufacturing biomass boilers for more than 20 years in Poland. This range of wood pellet fuelled boilers are microprocessor controlled resulting in high efficiency and clean burning, yet are simple to operate.

Why choose a Fu-wi boiler?

  • Good value for money as a simple but efficient wood pellet boiler
  • Automatic ignition
  • Highly efficient at 88% thermal efficiency
  • Clean and convenient operation
  • Runs automatically from normal heating controls
  • Hopper holds 150kg of wood pellet fuel, enough for a week’s heating for a typical house in cold weather.
  • Electronic combustion control for low emissions
  • Adjustable heat output for optimal operation
  • Meets European standard EN303-5 for solid fueled boilers

Applications

  • Residential central heating systems, radiators and underfloor heating
  • Potable hot water
  • Swimming pools and tubs
  • Ducted hot air systems
  • Commercial and industrial heat loads

Construction and Operation

The Fu-wi boiler consists of a firebox under a heat exchanger next to a hopper containing wood pellet fuel. The pellets are fed from the hopper into the fire box using an auger. Pellets burn in the firebox and the heat rises through pipes in the heat exchanger through which the heating system water passes. Exhaust gases are ducted to the outside through a 150mm flue.

When starting, the wood pellets are lit using a 300W electric element. The boiler can be started and stopped using normal central heating controls such as timers and thermostats.

User maintenance

The most important user input is to make sure the boiler has fuel. To keep the boiler operating in an efficient way, the operator should empty the ash and clean the heat exchanger at regular intervals.

Safety

  • Safety cut-off to prevent boiler water overheating
  • Controls ensure boiler only operates when heat is required
  • Fuel feed temperature sensor to prevent burnback
  • Fuel air mix can be adjusted to ensure clean burning
